If you follow the service road down a bit you will hit the trail again which follows the ridge line for a mile or two before hitting the CDT which makes for a less steep hike overall and it can be taylored to any length. Itâs definitely a hard hike, mainly due to the abundance of loose rocks on the trail, but itâs a beautiful hike and I highly recommend it to anyone who would rather roll their ankles a few times, than sit on the couch all day.
